Congratulations on the birth of your baby! Please join us with your new addition for our New Family Celebration Day which is an event designed specifically for new parents, grandparents or other extended adult family members or friends.
Do you want to connect with another new mom or dad? Are you struggling with the overwhelming information regarding first steps after your child is born? Have you ever wanted to meet a teenager or young adult with Down syndrome and talk to them about his/her experiences and dreams for the future? Do you wonder how other parents have navigated this new journey they are traveling on? What is myth and what are the facts?
This day will answer these questions and, best of all you will have a chance to meet other parents who just like yourselves are entering the realm of raising a child with Down syndrome. In addition, there will be other parents in attendance who have older children with Down syndrome. This day will provide you with information, inspiration and hope for a bright future for you and your family!
PLEASE BRING YOUR BABY IF YOU WISH! Siblings are welcome to attend but child care will not be provided.
