Putting Your Donation to Work
Here are just some of the ways we make your donation work:
Annual Special Clinic for Special People, a free medical clinic, co-sponsored with Arnold Palmer Hospital, with a value of over $75,000 of professional services provided.
Therapy Scholarship Funds for children in need of supplemental speech, physical, occupational therapies.
Statewide Florida Down Syndrome Conference: Learning withy Families, Advocates & Professionals, a 1.5 day event featuring state-of-the-art information from national experts on Down syndrome.
We reach out to EVERY obstetrician, geneticist and hospital in seven Central Florida counties, providing both new parent information packets and healthcare provider packets as part of our new initiative on Healthcare Provider Education. The DSACF is also presenting inservice training programs for healthcare providers as follow-up support.
Our other programs or services-Teen Talk, New Parent Mentors, playgroups, Community Groups, Disability Awareness Presentations, Self-Advocate programs, educational consultations.
