Project Windmill Blows Again! DSACF is getting ready for World Down Syndrome Day 2014…not just for the day but the entire month of March. Once again Project Windmill will blow through our offices. Honor a loved one, a community champion, your family with a pinwheel (our version of the windmill). Project Windmill was born in reference to “Welcome to Holland” by Emily Perl Kingsley as she describes what it is to be a parent of a child with special needs. This beautiful poem illustrates the journey of parenthood through a surprise trip to Holland. DSACF honors this journey with our windmills…to showcase the power of our community. Join today and purchase your “windmill” and your pinwheel will be placed in the front yard of the DSACF offices. Moved by the wind and placed by a caring these windmills will dot the yard each representing a family, a loved one and together shows the strength and pride of the Down syndrome community. To purchase your “windmill” please visit www.dsacf.org or call 407-478-5621. Together we can make Central Florida our very own Holland! If you have a business and would like to participate in the 3rd Annual Project Windmill please contact Edward DeAguilera at 407-478-5621.
